Guided by friendly food hosts, Flavor Tours stroll through historic downtown streets where local chefs share seasonal menus plus house-made coffee, cocktails, and beer at six spots, with venues ranging from a fresh café brunch to custom appetizers at a swanky retro lounge. The tour incorporates history and architecture details along the way and meanders through the Farmers Market and a local boutique shop.
Flavor Tours conclude at the city’s only craft brewery, Quincy Brewing Company,where the owners’ passion for craft beer and historic downtown is evident the minute you walk in the door. Kayak Quincy
With its grand location on the Mississippi River, a must while in town is Kayak Quincy. The new program offers self-checkout kayaks seven days a week, sunup to sundown. Quincy Bay is the ideal spot to navigate the waters of the most magnificent river in North America.
The area is composed of interconnected channels, bottomland forest, a small boat harbor, and a cut through channel. Quincy Bay is one of the largest natural bays in the Upper Mississippi River, providing habitat for a variety of native fish and wildlife species, including resident and migratory birds, waterfowl, and many native fish.
Quincy is also the nucleus of a region populated by family farms and wineries, dedicated to growing fruits and vegetables sustainably. Dotting the rural landscape, you’ll discover co-op farm stands & markets and family-friendly events.
