Berkeley Springs, WV is a beautiful and historic town set in the mountains of West Virginia. Known for its healing thermal waters and one-of-a-kind spas, it’s the perfect place to getaway and relax. In addition to its renowned leisure activities, Berkeley Springs has a variety of dining options, many with outdoor seating and views, two local craft breweries, and distinctive shops that offer something for everyone.

Berkeley Springs is a year around community, but you can’t beat the sights and sounds of summer. The clear starry night skies are the backdrop for the crickets chirping, meteor showers, and the crackle of campfires.  The sounds of summer include concerts and live music every weekend, the swoosh of golf clubs, the spinning of the wheels on mountain bikes, splashing of kids catching crawdads in the mineral springs and the ohs and ahs of firework spectators.

Berkeley Springs has a vibrant nationally recognized art scene. The Morgan Arts Council’s hosts the annual quilt show August through September. The quilt guild displays a yard square quilt in all the businesses in the county through August before auctioning them to benefit a local non-profit.

In the fall the mountains become vibrant with their red and yellow leaves, but it is also time for the 49th annual Apple Butter Festival.  On Columbus Day weekend every year the town fills with craft vendors, music, contests, food, a parade and kettles of apples being stirred. Once the apples cook down you add sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to complete the apple butter. It is jarred warm and sold right there at the festival.

Each season has its own delights, and you can always eat well, bathe in comfort, sleep, shop and play outdoors. To plan your stay, visit berkeleysprings.com!
