Celebrate America 250 in Noble County, Indiana

1 min read

On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a once-in-a-generation milestone. Noble County is proud to join the celebration with a season-long tribute to our nation’s history and our community’s unique story.

America 250 in Noble County will take place from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day 2026, featuring historical reenactments, educational programs, patriotic displays, and community events across multiple locations. Residents and visitors are invited to reflect on our shared past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead to our shared future.

Highlights include the America 250 Light Display at the Community Learning Center in Kendallville, presented in partnership with the Mid-America Windmill Museum. The vibrant patriotic installation will shine throughout the summer and serve as an official America 250 Passport check-in site. In Albion, the Noble County Historical Society will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Old Jail Museum with special exhibits, guided tours, and historical displays exploring 19th-century life in Noble County. This season-long feature is also an official Passport check-in site.
