Only a Scrooge would miss Cambridge, Ohio’s Dickens Victorian Village held November 1, 2023 through January 1, 2024 throughout downtown. Now in its 18th jolly year, this immersive event known as “The Most Unique Holiday Experience in the Midwest” whisks guests back in time faster than you can say “Tiny Tim” for big holiday fun!

In this one of a kind seasonal public art installation, guests walk amidst nearly 100 lifelike scenes, frozen in classic moments from life in the Victorian era. From first and second floor windows of businesses built in the 1800s, to lampposts and benches, these charming figures wearing real vintage clothing make spirits bright. Each one has been meticulously sculpted and painted by local artisans.

Dickens Victorian Village

Stop by the Welcome Center in the heart of the Dickens Victorian Village to visit with costumed volunteers, purchase gifts and souvenirs, while gaining a sneak peek into the event’s history and how the community rallies together each year to make it a success. Don’t forget to visit the Imagination Station to get your picture taken in traditional Victorian clothing.

Additional ticketed events like downtown trolley tours, cemetery tours and Victorian Teas (including one with Her Majesty Queen Victoria herself) keep the festive atmosphere going all season long.

Once you’re ready to transport yourself back to the future, visit the 1881-built Guernsey County Courthouse for a holiday lights spectacular set to a fantastic soundtrack. More than 66,000 colorful lights dance to the rhythm of your favorite carols and seasonal songs. The display runs nightly from 5:30 to 9 p.m., and on the holidays until 11 p.m.
