Celebrate the wonder of this time of year at Mountain Lake Lodge’s Magical Christmas Village & Marketplace in the magnificent Blue Ridge. The annual holiday festival is reminiscent of a historic European village and a premier attraction in southwestern Virginia.
It all comes to life with the Grand Illumination on Saturday, November 22 when the entire storied resort bedazzles in a backdrop of lights to welcome the holidays. The scene is set for a season of unforgettable memories!

Local artisans showcase their crafts at the charming Marketplace shops which feature gifts, gourmet treats, toys and holiday delights.
Family-friendly activities run the gamut from horse-drawn carriage rides and a life-size Gingerbread House on Marshmallow Way, to the Winter Bliss ice skating rink with glow-in-the-dark skating.
Delicious holiday dining can be casual at the Salt Pond Pub or a festive celebration with Brunch with Santa and Christmas Day Dinner at Harvest.

Mountain Lake Lodge is located atop Salt Pond Mountain amid a 2,600-acre nature preserve away from the noise and hubbub but convenient to such cities as Baltimore, Richmond and Washington, D.C. It’s also where the iconic Dirty Dancing was filmed 39 years ago. Known as Kellerman’s Mountain House in the movie, it’s still the ideal place “to have the time of your life” with glorious views, myriad activities, and 22 miles of pristine hiking trails.

Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm (Winter Whimsy Holiday Shopping & Ice Skating); Friday & Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm (All Festivities), and Sunday, noon to 6pm (All Festivities)
